How it works

One business context, many ways to get clients

B2B.ID doesn't run a single channel. It holds your business context in one place and uses it across every path that can bring you clients — then routes everything into one pipeline.

The foundation

Your B2B ID and Target Profile come first

These two objects decide what you see and how you appear to everyone else. Getting them specific is the highest-leverage work on the platform.

Step by step

Eight steps, start to client

  1. 1

    1. Create your B2B ID

Describe your business once: what you do, the offers you sell, the markets you serve and what you want to be recommended for. Every path reads from this.

  2. 2

    2. Define your Target Profile

Say who a good client is — company type, size, markets, the problems you solve and the triggers that make someone need you. This is what relevance is measured against.

  3. 3

    3. Choose your acquisition paths

Find prospects, respond to Opportunities, turn on Recommend Me, ask for referrals, look for partners, network, advertise or distribute. Most businesses start with two or three.

  4. 4

    4. Use signals for timing

Signals highlight businesses where something recently changed. They help you decide who to act on first — they are clues, not proof of intent.

  5. 5

    5. Reach the people who decide

See the relevant people behind a business and, where relationship context exists, a possible introduction path. A warm route usually beats a cold one.

  6. 6

    6. Send a Request with context

Requests carry your business context and the reason for reaching out — an introduction, a quote, a meeting — so the other side can judge relevance immediately.

  7. 7

    7. Work one Pipeline

Everything that starts anywhere lands in the same Pipeline. No separate trackers per channel, no duplicate records.

  8. 8

    8. Close and keep the relationship

Agreements and Deals are canonical objects in B2B.ID, so a won client stays connected to how it started — and to the partners and people who helped.

Convergence

Every path ends in the same pipeline

This is the reason it's one platform rather than eight disconnected tools.

Questions

Before you start

Do I have to use all the paths?

No. The paths share the same business context, so you can start with one or two — usually Find and Opportunities — and add referrals, partnerships or networking later.

How long before this produces clients?

That depends on your market, your offer and how much live demand matches what you do. B2B.ID improves relevance, timing and routes to decision makers; it does not promise clients or timelines.

What has to be true before it works?

Your B2B ID and Target Profile need to be specific. Vague business context produces vague matches, because everything on the platform is filtered through it.
