What is B2B client acquisition on B2B.ID?
It's how B2B.ID helps a business get clients. B2B.ID understands who you want to sell to, what you sell, who may need it, who can introduce you and where demand is appearing — then connects those pieces through discovery, Opportunities, recommendations, Signals, relationships, referrals, partners, advertising and distribution.
How does B2B.ID help me find clients?
Find surfaces businesses and people that match your Target Profiles and Offers, with the reason they fit. Opportunities show businesses that have already declared a need. Recommend Me lets buyers find you. Signals suggest when a fitting business is worth a look. Referrals, partnerships, networking, advertising and distribution add further paths.
Is B2B.ID a lead generation platform?
Not merely. B2B.ID doesn't sell lead lists. A prospect is not a lead, a signal is not a lead and a recommendation is not a lead. B2B.ID is a client acquisition system built around your business identity, declared demand and relationships.
Can B2B.ID recommend my business to potential clients?
Yes. When another business asks B2B.ID for someone matching what you offer, your B2B ID gives B2B.ID the context to understand whether you may be a fit — target fit, relevant offering, experience, proof and relationship context. Recommendations are explained, not paid for.
Can I find businesses actively looking for my service?
Yes. Opportunities are canonical demand objects — a business declaring what it is looking for, when, and the needs behind it. Relevant Opportunities surface against your Target Profiles and Offers, and you respond with a structured Request.
How does B2B.ID use buying signals?
As evidence and context, never certainty. Where supported, Signals such as hiring, funding, new leadership, a declared Opportunity or relationship activity are shown alongside why they may be relevant to your Target Profile. A signal is a reason to look, not proof of intent to buy.
Can I acquire clients through referrals?
Yes, as one path. B2B.ID surfaces relationship context on target businesses — a shared relationship, a person you met, a partner — and lets you Request an Introduction properly. It is not a referral-exchange club with quotas.
Can B2B.ID help me find referral or channel partners?
Yes. Partner surfaces complementary businesses that serve your target clients but don't offer what you do — referral, channel, reseller, co-marketing, delivery and creator partnerships — and Request Partnership structures the proposal.
Is B2B.ID an advertising platform?
Advertising is one path, not the product. Advertise lets you put an Offer, your B2B ID or an Opportunity in front of relevant B2B audiences where available. It is clearly labelled and separate from recommendations.
How does my B2B ID affect client acquisition?
It is the foundation. Positioning, Offerings, Offers, Target Profiles, proof, knowledge and relationships give B2B.ID the context to connect you to relevant businesses, Opportunities, recommendations and partners. The better the context, the better the connections — without promising deterministic results.
Is B2B.ID only for agencies?
No. Agencies, consultants, SaaS companies, lawyers, creators, freelancers and professional services firms all acquire clients through different combinations of the same paths.
Is B2B.ID a CRM?
No. Pipeline on B2B.ID shows how businesses, relationships and Opportunities are progressing on the platform — Target, Relevant, Engaged, Conversation, Opportunity, Agreement, Client — so acquisition doesn't end at discovery. It complements your CRM rather than replacing it.
Getting started
Getting started
What's the first step?
Create your B2B ID. Tell B2B.ID what your business does, define your Target Profiles and connect your Offers. Everything else — Find, Opportunities, Recommend Me, Partner — works from that context.
Is clients.b2b.id a separate B2B.ID product?
No. It explains how the B2B.ID platform works together to help you acquire clients. You use the same account, B2B ID and workspaces as the rest of B2B.ID.
How is this related to networking.b2b.id?
Both are specialised views of the same platform. networking.b2b.id explains B2B Networking in depth; clients.b2b.id explains B2B Client Acquisition, of which networking is one path.
Vocabulary

What's the difference between a prospect, a lead, an Opportunity and a client?
A prospect is a business that looks like your Target Profile. An Opportunity is a declared need on B2B.ID — canonical demand. A client is an actual commercial relationship. B2B.ID deliberately avoids flattening everything into 'leads'.
What is a Target Profile?
A structured description of the kind of business you want to win: company size, markets, problems, buying triggers and the Offer that fits. Richer than 'what industry do you target?'.
What is a Request?
The intentional action mechanism on B2B.ID: Request Meeting, Request Partnership, Request Introduction and Request Quote. Each carries a reason the other side can act on.

Does B2B.ID guarantee clients?
No. B2B.ID surfaces relevant businesses, declared Opportunities, recommendations, signals and relationship paths. Whether a conversation becomes a client depends on fit, timing and the work itself.
What does 'verified' mean on B2B.ID?
Verification applies to specific claims and evidence in a B2B ID where available — not to a blanket 'verified lead' label.
How does proof help me get chosen?
Discovery gets you considered; proof helps you get chosen. Testimonials, delivered work, case studies, knowledge and relationship context give buyers reasons to pick you once you've surfaced.

How much does B2B.ID cost?
Pricing is managed centrally by B2B.ID and shown in the app's plan chooser. clients.b2b.id doesn't publish prices that could drift out of date.
Do I have to advertise to get clients?
No. Most acquisition paths on B2B.ID are organic. Advertise is optional amplification.
